Welcome
a short time ago, not far away
I came to realize that we spend more at The Office than we do at home. We figuratively camp at the office if you think about it, think about a vacation or a camping trip. What is the difference between them and going to the office? The obvious one is, it is work; not having fun. So I challenge you, why not make the office fun and livable? Let’s make the day go by faster by bringing what makes the camping experience memorable to the office. Being in the office should be fun and relaxing, even in the presence deadlines, budgets, supervisors, direct reports, etc.
Most of us think that the offices at Google, Apple, Amazon, etc. are awesome, comfortable, engaging, fun. Whe read, visit, get told of all the awesome things they have. Why not bring the comfort, amenities, games, etc. that you want to your office [let’s be realistic you probably don’t want everything you hear about]. Nobody said it was against policy to have fun at the office [don’t quote me]. Most companies want their employees to be comfortable, happy, & satisfied because it increases productivity & inovation. Make sure that your office or space resembles you, makes you feel comfortable, in addition to, making you approachable by your peers.
The bottom line is, here at The Office Camp we would like to bring ideas to you on how to stay healthy, have fun, & make your office space livable. Our goal is enhancing the office experience for a better career & life.
